British duck breeder acquired by two Chinese companies
Navis Capital Partners has sold its controlling interest in Anatis UK Limited (“Cherry Valley Group” or “CVF”) to the consortium of the China-based strategic investors.
Although the details of the transaction have not yet been made public, a knowledgeable source told Caixin that the deal is worth 1.5 billion yuan (227 million dollars).
The acquisition also includes Cherry Valley's breeding technologies and patents.

Cherry Valley Group is the leading duck genetics supplier and primary breeder of Pekin ducks in China and the rest of the world with dominant global market share, according to Navis press release.
China is the world's largest duck meat consumer, with two-thirds of the world's total duck breeding stock.
