JBS recalls 20 tonnes of meat from the market

Almost 20 tonnes of beef were recalled from the market by JBS Plainwell due to possible contamination with extraneous materials, specifically, pieces of hard plastic, informs the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
The items were produced on March 20 and shipped to retail locations in Michigan and Wisconsin. The problem was discovered when the establishment received two complaints of green hard plastic in the ground beef products. FSIS is concerned that some product may be frozen and in consumers’ freezers. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase, recommended the service.
So far, there have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.
