Spanish retail triggers salmonella alert
The Autonomous Community of Aragon, through the Coordinated System for the Rapid Exchange of Information (SCIRI), has informed AESAN of the presence of salmonellosis in minced poultry marketed in Lidl supermarkets, for which reason the withdrawal of affected products from marketing channels.
The product in question, sold in a 500-g plastic tray in the refrigerated area, is labeled Burguer Meat de Pollo-Turkey and its batch number is 3369, with an expiration date of 06/03/22. With the information available, there is no record in Spain of any reported case associated with this alert.
As a precautionary measure, it is recommended that people who have the product indicated above in their homes refrain from consuming them and return them to the points of sale.
In the case of having consumed the product and presenting any symptomatology compatible with salmonellosis (mainly diarrhea and/or vomiting accompanied by fever and headache), it is recommended to go to a health center.
