Vall Companys Group welcomes King Felipe VI and Minister Planas at Alimentaria 2026
The Vall Companys Group welcomed His Majesty King Felipe VI, the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Luis Planas, and the Minister of Agriculture of the Generalitat, Òscar Ordeig, to its stand C171 (Hall 3) during the opening of Alimentaria 2026, held at the Gran Via venue of Fira de Barcelona.
The visit took place during the inaugural tour of the fair, positioned as one of the main events in the agri-food sector in Europe, in which the Group participates with a proposal focused on the evolution of its portfolio of pork, poultry, and beef products; flours and vegetable protein products.
During the meeting, the company conveyed to the institutional delegation the main lines that define its proposal in this edition; in addition to addressing the main challenges of the agri-food sector at a global level.
In this context, the Group is moving forward with consolidating a more competitive and comprehensive portfolio, in which each brand responds to a specific market positioning. In the Iberian ham sector, the Group is promoting brands such as Finura de Ibérico, aimed at premium segments within the fresh market, and La Joya, with a clear focus on high-quality charcuterie and its presence in restaurants and the gourmet channel.
In parallel, the company is strengthening its presence in processed meat products with brands such as Mübo and BonChef , focused on meeting the growing demand for easy-to-prepare and easy-to-consume products. These lines incorporate ready-to-cook or ready-to-eat solutions, and offerings linked to familiar recipes, aligned with a consumer who prioritizes convenience without sacrificing quality.
Likewise, through Zyrcular Foods, the plant-based protein company—owned by the same group as the main distributor—continues to develop new product lines under both manufacturer and private label brands. These offerings respond to a growing trend toward a more balanced diet, based on recognizable ingredients with less processing.
The participation of the Vall Companys Group in Alimentaria reflects a moment of strategic consolidation, in which the Group is moving towards a more diversified and specialized model, combining traditional categories with new lines of growth and reinforcing its ability to adapt to the evolution of the market in the retail and foodservice channels.
